Damage Policy
This Damage Policy explains customer responsibilities regarding vehicle damage, accidents, repairs, cleaning, and maintenance while renting a vehicle from Rent A Dream Truck.
By renting a vehicle from Rent A Dream Truck, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
Customers are responsible for any damage that occurs while the vehicle is in their possession.
This includes interior damage, exterior damage, tire damage, windshield damage, roof damage, lift gate damage, and mechanical damage caused by misuse or negligence.
Customers are responsible for protecting the vehicle from preventable damage.
2. REPORTING DAMAGE
All accidents, damages, theft, vandalism, or mechanical issues must be reported immediately.
Customers must provide:Photos of the damage
Date and time of incident
Police report if applicable
Description of what occurred
Failure to report damages may result in additional charges or termination of the rental agreement.
3. INSURANCE CLAIMS
Customers are responsible for filing insurance claims related to damages during the rental period.
Rent A Dream Truck may communicate directly with the insurance provider regarding repairs or claims.
Customers remain responsible for deductibles, uncovered damages, and policy violations.
4. PROHIBITED DAMAGE
The following may result in additional fees or immediate termination of the rental agreement:
Smoking inside the vehicle
Intentional damage or reckless driving
Overloading the truck beyond capacity
Driving into low-clearance areas
Off-road use
Unauthorized modifications to the vehicle
Ignoring warning lights or mechanical issues
5. REPAIR AUTHORIZATION
Customers may not authorize repairs without written approval from Rent A Dream Truck.
Emergency roadside situations must be reported before repairs are completed whenever possible.
Unauthorized repairs may not be reimbursed.
6. CLEANING & CONDITION
Vehicles must be returned in reasonably clean condition.
Excessive dirt, trash, odors, stains, smoke residue, or biohazard cleanup may result in cleaning fees.
Customers may be charged for detailing or sanitation services if necessary.
7. DOWNTIME & LOSS OF USE
Customers may be responsible for loss-of-use charges if the vehicle becomes unavailable for business due to damage caused during the rental period.
Charges may include repair downtime, towing, storage, administrative fees, or recovery costs.
